Official School of Languages are public  funded institutions under the direction of the  Consejería de Educación de la Junta de Andalucía. Thanks to the Plurilinguism Development Plan, the Schools have become key language training centers, offering contact lessons, semi-contact lessons and online courses.

 The Official School of Languages in Granada follows these ten principles of educational quality:

• Syllabus according to the guidelines of the European Council.
• Communicative methodology.
• Reliable, valid and objective assessment.
• Certificates officially endorsed by European Institutions.
• Teaching methods subject to quality controls.
• Academic organization centered around teaching teams and coordinating bodies.  
• Teachers with sound training and university degrees.
• Internal evaluation  of user satisfaction
• Accurate and accessible information about the process of registration and enrollment
• Facilities adapted to language teaching and ample educational resources.

 The Official School of Languages in Granada currently offers courses in Arabic, English, French, German and Spanish for foreigners.

Our course levels are designed to follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: learning, teaching and assessment (CEFR).

 The courses are structured into three different levels:

Basic Level divided into two courses: Basic 1 and Basic 2, corresponding to CEFR Level A2;
Intermediate (one course), corresponding to CEFR Level B1, and
Advanced Level divided into two courses: Advanced 1 and Advanced 2, corresponding to CEFR Level B2

 In addition to regular courses, the School also offers courses for teachers involved in the Bilingual Schools Project through the Plurilinguism Development Plan.

 The Official School of Languages of Granada has also been an active participant in the following projects:

 • The Virtual Library.
• Experimental PEL (European Language Portfolio).
• Organization of the course “Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language.”
• Programme outline of the  curriculum of the Official Schools of Languages in Andalucia.
• Programme outline of the Arabic curriculum in Secondary Education
• Welcoming Erasmus students.

 We also offer an extensive range of extra-curricular activities throughout the year
